We will definitely be back to stay as this was one of the best small hotel experiences we have had. Booking is great until things don't work. They are building a breakfast room next door so it will be easier to get a proper breakfast in the hotel when this is done. Mario De' Fiori 37 Via Mario De' Fiori 37/B, Spagna, 00187 Rome, Italy Excellent location - show map Metro access 9.2 Superb 183 reviews I'll definitively book it again but I will do it directly calling the hotel. In-room breakfast, although just a cornetto, coffee and juice were brought up quickly. Our studio deluxe (room 106) was spacious, bright and extremely clean. All the other staff were also helpful in making restaurant reservations for us and answering any questions we had regarding museums/sights. It mixes old-world charm with contemporary design in its minimalist guest rooms and suites. The modern Mario De' Fiori is set in a historic building from the 17th century.

It is just a few steps from the famous Spanish Steps in the most exclusive neighbourhood in Rome.

Giuseppe was there when we checked-in and he was helpful with the luggage and with suggesting small restaurants nearby like Dilla where we had lunch on the first day. Experience La Dolce Vita in this beautiful converted town house. The staff at the hotel were friendly and extremely helpful.

From there, we didn't have to take any taxis as the sights in the Centro Storico (Piazza Navona, Piazza Farnese, Piazza di Popolo, Pantheon etc) were just 15-20 walk away. A very addictive chocolate shop is a few steps away with fantastic gelato. The Mario dei Fiori 37, part of Rome Luxury Suites, was located steps away from the busy Piazza di Spagna on a quieter side street. It is just 3 minutes from the main shopping streets and there are restaurants nearby. The location of Mario de Fiori is ideal for all day non stop shopping which is what I had planned for in my 2 night stay. There is complimentary pastries and juice in the morning. Nice toiletries , a very tiny lift which barely fits two. Ample room for wardrobe space too and just outside there is a large common area if you want more water or to make tea, although Shohel the extremely nice and helpful bell boy who helped me with my luggage or Giuseppe the jovial receptionist will always bring you some bottled water. Believe that there are just a few rooms. However, the room size was very large and there was an excellent coffee maker and a fantastic flat screen TV. At first instance, we were a bit taken aback- the exterior is very small and unassuming. Had wanted to choose a hotel as near Spanish steps and main shop and had read great reviews about this hotel so we went with this choice , despite the fact that there were a few more economical choices.
